Al-Qaeda faces rebellion from the ranks
Sickened by the group’s barbarity, Iraqi insurgents are giving information to coalition forces

Fed up with being part of a group that cuts off a person’s face with piano wire to teach others a lesson, dozens of low-level members of al-Qaeda in Iraq are daring to become informants for the US military in a hostile Baghdad neighbourhood.
The ground-breaking move in Doura is part of a wider trend that has started in other al-Qaeda hotspots across the country and in which Sunni insurgent groups and tribal sheikhs have stood together with the coalition against the extremist movement.

The ONLY value this person is to the US (or at least to me), is for whatever information can be extracted from him.
Bury him with the pigs when you're done, as far as I am concerned. This is the same type of sympathy they show our good men & women, not only in the military, but even our reporters, missionaries, nurses & doctors. It's obvious that being more human to them than they are to us is a failed doctrine. Do whatever it takes...
If a rattlesnake tries to bite you, would you simply capture it and take it to the animal shelter? I'm for the machete or garden hoe - may the best man (or snake) win...Afterwards, I'd find the nest & destroy it, lest others come looking for their companion...
The liberal Democrats - Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and “Turbin” Durbin say that we shouldn't stoop to the enemy's level (torture) to get information or for retaliation. We should be more civilized, negotiate, etc. Hollywood is no better.
Now lets see.... Who would you rather have on your side? George Clooney? Brad Pitt? Or the fictional Jack Bauer? I believe he's been known to torture now & then, when necessary.
My vote is with Jack Bauer - or anyone who believes the safety & security of this country is more important than any person's life, but especially a terrorist or those who would do us harm.
